The aim of the short film competition is not only to show the short film talents of young people but also to promote the Baltic Sea Region as a good place to live, work and education. The winner of the competition will also have a great opportunity to share his impression about the Baltic Sea Region with other young people and regional politicians. He or she will be invited to the Award Ceremony during the BSSSC Conference which will take place between 3rd and 7th October 2011 in Szczecin, Poland.

The first prize is a professional video editing software value 900 euro and a free ticket and accommodation for the purpose of taking part in a youth seminar during this year’s BSSSC conference in Szczecin.

Deadline for submission: 31th August 2011 until midnight of the Warsaw Time.

 

Who can participate?

The competition is open to all young people between the ages of 15 and 30 from the Baltic Sea countries – Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Russia.

 

What is the topic of the competition?

The film should promote the Baltic Sea Region as a good place for living, working and education.

 

What are the general rules of the competition?

Participants can submit only one work. All submissions must be made online. Films submitted by post or e-mail address will not be accepted. We prefer films no longer than 2 minutes, works longer than 3 minutes will not be accepted. You can use all the languages, but your film needs to have English subtitles.

 

How to participate in the competition?

To submit a short film, you must create a YouTube or Vimeo account and upload your work on YouTube or Vimeo website. Additionally, you are required to send a filled registration form, which can be found on www.bsssc.com, so we can locate your work.
