28 year old brings 5th victory for Sweden

Singing grannies and a mysterious beauty from Sweden dominated the 57. Eurovision Song Contest that was celebrated in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku. Thousands of people cheered in the Crystal Hall and in front of the new arena and millions of people followed the show live on TV. With a dark dance-pop song Loreen from Sweden stormed to victory with 372 points.

Russia and Serbia missed out on the top spot with 259 and 214 points respectively after a hard fought battle on the scoreboard. "I hope that Euphoria stays in the hearts of the people as long as possible", said Loreen in a press conference right after the show. About her feelings in the green room, she stated: "I felt like in a vacuum, like time stopped."
The next Eurovision Song Contest will be held on 18^th of May 2012 in Sweden.
