The 8th of March is known as the International Women’s Day celebrated (hopefully) all over the world. Some might think we don’t need a Women’s Day anymore but taking a closer look one must admit that we are still far away from being equal.

“Every day, woman around the world are making a significant impact on our homes, schools and communities. But gender inequity is preventing women from growing to their full potential and hampers worldwide progress.” That is one of the messages that armchairadvocates.com published today. Promoting the International Women’s Day the bloggers used an info graphic to highligh the state of women in the world. According to that graphic Australia, Norway and New Zealand are the best countries to live at for women. The info graphic is based on statistics from Save the Children’s State of the World’s Mothers 2011, the World Bank and the World Health Organization.
